Florence in a Day Tour. The tour starts with the visit of the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo's David, the most famous statue in the world! Here you will also admire some unfinished works by Michelangelo, the "Prisoners", which will allow you to see how he carved the massive blocks of Carrara marble. The guide explanation includes a detailed introduction to Michelangelo's life and his extraordinary period. The tour at the Accademia Gallery ends around 12.30 pm. You will have then free time for lunch until 1.30 pm. At 1.30 your guide will wait for you in front of the Hard Rock Cafè and you will be lead through the historical centre. The guide will talk about history and anecdotes between Middle-Age and Renaissance, an itinerary to discover the treasures of Florence: the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio... but also places and histories about Renaissance artists and their secrets. Finally the guide will lead you inside the most important museum of Florence: the Uffizi Gallery. Here you will admire some of the most famous paintings of all times including Botticelli's Birth of Venus, Leonardo da Vinci's Annunciation, Michelangelo's Holy Family, Titian's Venus of Urbino and other works by famous masters as Cimabue, Giotto, Paolo Uccello, Filippo Lippi, Raphael, Caravaggio.
