The cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, most frequently called the Duomo (from the Latin domus which means house), is an all-in-one with its Bell tower, a 14th century architectural masterpiece by Giotto, and Baptistery of St. John.
Florence’s Duomo is a large gothic cathedral, whose construction by Arnolfo di Cambio dates back to 1296. It is the largest Christian temple in the world after those of St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Paul’s in London.
